Chathurbhadradi Kashayam or Balachathurbhadra Kashayam used in Digestive and Respiratory system related diseases of children. it is a concentrated decoction prepared out of herbal ingredients, which consist of water soluble active principles.

Indication:Fever, diarrhea, vomiting, cough, cold and asthma.

Adjuvent( Anupana): Along with honey.

Dose :  Kashayam  5 – 10ml diluted with 15 –  30ml of water twice daily before food or as directed by physician.

Side effects: No known side effects, over dose may induce gastric irritation. Use this medicine under medical supervision.

Method of Preparation: The above ingredients are powdered separately and mixed together in specified quantity.

Method  of Storage: Store in an airtight container, in a dryplace.

Ayurvedic properties of Chaturbhadradi Kashayam / Balachathurbhadra kashayam:

Roga karma:jwara, athisara, shwasa, kasa and chardi.

Dosha karma: Tridoshahara, mainly kaphahara.

Agni karma: Deepana, pachana

Other karma:  Rasadushtihara and kapha lekhana.
