Samudradya choorna is a mixture of salts, kshara, iron oxide and herbal powder used in the management of Digestive system related problems.

Indication: Pain abdomen, loss of appetite, indigestion, flatulence and loss of taste.

Dose :  2 to 3 grams, three times daily before or after food before or after food as directed by physician.

Adjuvent( Anupana): Warm water.

Side effects: May induce gastric irritation in higher dose, Used with caution in hypertensive patients as it contain salt.

Method of Preparation: The above ingredients from 1 to 12 powdered and boiled in Dadhi, Gomuthra and Paya(Milk)separately. when it becomes dry it is powdered.

Method  of Storage: Stored in airtight container in dryplace.

Ayurvedic properties of Samudradya Churna:

Roga karma: Nabi shula, pliha shula, yakrith, gulma, vidradi, ashtila and shula.

Dosha karma: Vatakaphahara.

Agni karma: Deepana, pachana

Other karma: Vatanulomaka and srotoavarodhahara.
