Astangalavana churnam is a powder of 6 herbal ingredients along with sauvarchala salt and sugar.
Indication: Useful in treating Alcoholism complications, loss of appetite and other kapha involved conditions
Dose : ½ to 1 teaspoon along with food, two or three times daily or as directed by physician.
Side effects: May induce mild gastric irritation in higher dose, Used with caution in hypertensive and diabetic patients as it contain salt and sugar.

Ayurvedic properties of Astangalavana Churnam:
Roga karma: Agnimandya, madatyaya and kaphaja rogas.
Dosha karma: Kaphavatahara.
Agni karma: Deepana.
Other karma: Vatanulomaka and srotoavarodahara.
