Balasahacharadi kashayam (Astavarga Kashayam) is a concentrated decoction which consist of water soluble active principles. Prepared by boiling herbal ingredients with water.

Indication/Uses :  Effective in general body ache, rheumatic complaints, low back ache, paralysis and facial palsy.

Dose :  Kashayam  5 – 15 ml diluted with 15 –  45 ml of water twice daily before food or as directed by physician.

Adjuvant: Ksheerabala taila 101, Dhanwantara taila 101.

Side effects: No known side effects,  Over dose may induce gastric irritation. Use this medicine under medical supervision.

Method of preparation of Balasahacharadi Kashayam: Herbal ingredients(coarse powder) 1 part boiled in 16 parts of water and reduced to 4 part.

Method  of Storage: Store in an airtight container, in a dry place.

Ayurvedic Properties of Balasahacharadi Kashayam :

Roga karma: All types of vata rogas, kaphanubanda vatarogas,  urustamba, manya sthamba and pakshaghata.

Dosha karma: Kapha vatahara.

Agni  karma: Deepana.

Other karmas: Vatanulomaka, Srothoshodana and avaranahara.
