Brihat vaishwanara churnam is a mixture of herbal powder along with salt.
Indication: Loss of appetite, indigestion, pain abdomen, flatulence, constipation, cough, asthama and piles.
Dose : ¼ to ½ teaspoon along with warm water, two or three times daily, before or after food as directed by physician.
Adjuvent( Anupana): Takra(Buttermilk) or warm water.
Side effects: May induce gastric irritation in higher dose, Used with caution in hypertensive patients as it contain salt.
Method of Storage: Stored in airtight container in dryplace.
Shelf life period: Around 6 month.

Ayurvedic properties of Brihat vaishwanara churnam:
Roga karma: Ajirna, arshas, udavarta, grahani, anaha, kasa, shwasa, gulma.
Dosha karma: vatakaphahara.
Agni karma: Deepana, pachana
Other karma: vatanulomaka, Malanulomaka, srotoshodana, lekhana.
