Chiruvilwadi Kashayam is a concentrated decoction which consist of water soluble active principles. Prepared by boiling herbal ingredients along with water.

Indication: Useful in flatulance, piles, fistula, constipation and improves digestion.

Adjuvant:Dhanwantara vati in flatulance, Kankayanavati in piles, Pushyanuga choorna in bleeding piles.

Dose :  Kashayam  5 – 15 ml diluted with 15 –  45 ml of water twice daily before food or as directed by physician. Kashayam Tablet 1 to 2 tablets twice daily.

Side effects: No known side effects, over dose may induce gastric irritation. Use this medicine under medical supervision.

Method of preparation of Chiruvilwadi Kashayam:  Herbal ingredients (coarse powder) 1 part boiled in 16 parts of water and reduced to 4 part.

Method  of Storage: Store in an airtight container, in a dry place.

Ayurvedic Properties of Chiruvilwadi Kashayam:

Roga karma: Arshas, bhagandhara, gulma, gudakila, adhmana, agnimandya and udavartha.

Dosha karma: Vatakaphahara

Agni  karma: Deepana

Other karma: Vatanulomaka
