Chitrakadi churna is a mixture of herbal powder, kshara and 5 types of salt used in the management digestive system related complaints.

Indication: Digestion related problems like indigestion, bloating, loss of appetite, pain abdomen and bloating.

Dose :  1 to 3 grams along with warm water twice daily before food.

Side effects: Heavy dose may induce  gastric ,used with caution in hypertensive  patients as it contain salt.

Preparation: The above ingredients from 1 to 15 finely powdered and grind with matulunga or dadima swarasa, allowed to dry in the sun.

Method  of Storage: Stored in airtight container in dry place.

Shelf life period: Around 6 month.

Ayurvedic properties:

Roga karma: Arochaka, grahani,shoola,gulma and agnimandya.

Dosha karma: Kaphavatahara and pittakara.

Agni karma: Deepana, pachana.

Other gunas: Vatanulomaka, srotoshodaka.
