Indication: cough, asthma, appetizer, distaste, rheumatism, aphrodisiac and rejuvenator.

Dose : ½  to 1 teaspoon along with honey or warm water, two or three times daily before or after food, as directed by physician.

Side effects: Heavy dose may induce mild gastric irritation, used under medical supervision.

Ayurvedic properties of Pippali churna:

Roga karma: Agnimandya, kantya, shoola prashamana, kasahara, shwasahara, gulma, arsha, pliha and shulahara.

Dosha karma: Kaphavatahara.

Agni karma: Deepana, pachana

Other karma: Srotoavarodhahara, Lekhana, Rasayana, Vrishya.
